Exceptional Getaways is pleased to announce our soft re-opening. We have several Getaways that were postponed in 2020-2021 that will need to be scheduled first. We are in the process of making calls to reschedule those Getaways. If you previously paid for a Getaway that was postponed, we will contact you to see if you still wish to attend, or would like a refund. Once all the postponed Getaways have been made up, we will be advertising new Getaways. Please continue to watch our Facebook and Webpage for more information. We are excited to resume travel and look forward to seeing everyone soon!
Due to the increased cost of travel, we will no longer be able to offer pick up and drop off services for group trips/activities. Effective 7/1/22, The starting and ending point for all Getaways will be Bloomington. All travelers will need to meet at McDonald’s South (1919 S Walnut St) at the predetermined drop off and pick up times. This change only applies to group travel. If you have an exclusive planned, we will still pick up and drop off. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Please contact us if you have questions or need additional information.

My name is Julia and I have worked along side people with special needs for 15 years. I am happy to have been able to add Exceptional Getaways into my life. I absolutely love getting people out to see and learn new things. From overnight camping trips to a week in Tennessee, these trips will have lasting memories for travelers and their families that get to hear their stories upon return. Getting to know and spend time with our travelers has been a wonderfully fun experience I look forward to each trip, every new person and the ones that return.
